At Dottirknits, I offer bespoke hand-knitted garments made from Icelandic wool and other natural fibers. Each piece is crafted slowly and with care, built to last and made to be worn for years.
The Process
Commissioning a custom piece is simple. We decide together on:
The design – traditional or modern, pattern of your choice.
The yarn – Icelandic wool, alpaca, or another natural fiber.
The fit & details – tailored to your body and preferences.
From there, I knit each stitch by hand in my studio.
Pricing
Custom work reflects both time and craftsmanship. As a guide:
Accessories from €200
Sweaters from €500–€800
Larger projects by individual quote
A 50% deposit is required before I begin. The balance is paid upon completion.
Why Handmade
Every piece is created slowly, without shortcuts. Knitting by hand allows for details and textures that machines cannot replicate. It also ensures that your garment is sustainable, personal, and truly one of a kind.
Delivery
I ship throughout Europe, the UK, and North America. Shipping is included in your quote. Each project has its own timeline, usually several weeks to a few months depending on size and complexity.
Care & Considerations
Items are non-returnable, as they are made to order.
Most natural fibers require gentle hand washing or dry cleaning.
My studio is cat-friendly; everything is washed before sending.
